Tammy Reyes, Director of Bands, Grandview Middle School
I am a graduate of Mooresville High School and UNC-Charlotte. I have been a NC Music Educator since 1999, and have taught band in the Hickory Public Schools since January of 2008. I left the band director position at Hickory High School to become the band director at Grandview Middle School in 2014. All three band directors in HPS work as a team, and both middle school directors fully support the Hickory HS Band Program.
I LOVE being the band director at Grandview Middle School. It is an honor to watch students flourish on an instrument from the very beginning of their band careers. We utilize many assistants in our band room at Grandview. We bring in folks to give individualized attention in areas of brass, woodwind, percussion, and jazz.
